Technology Mission Statement To engage students in authentic technological Computers are instructional tools that may be used to enhance many subject areas. For this reason, use of technology is integrated into the curriculum. Our Computer Technology Teacher works with teachers in planning computer instruction time to reinforce curriculum at each grade level. Computers may be used to develop thinking skills and problem solving strategies as well as to reinforce all basic skills. Students in grades kindergarten through five have a scheduled lab time once per week. Teachers have the opportunity to sign up for additional time during “open blocks” to work on a project or lesson. Middle school students spend one day per week in a class called “Media / Technology.” During this class they meet in either the Resource Center or the Computer Lab. |
