| Eucharistic Minister |
| This is one of the most privileged ministries: Having received the
greatest of gifts, the Eucharist, one is then sent to serve others
the Body and Blood of Christ! Some ministers take the Eucharist to
the homebound and sick Outreach Ministries;
others serve at daily or weekend Mass. Requirement
is a spirit of reverence for the Eucharist, and service to others.
Training is provided. Scheduling is flexible. Call the parish office
for further information. |

| Gift Bearer |
| A ministry for anyone, including those with disabilities, assuming
they can navigate to the altar (up the steps is not required –
the presider can come down to the main level). This is a great ministry
for families with children. Sign up at the Mass you attend, or sign
up in advance for a “special day.” The white three-ring
binder is on the back table. Ask the coordinator for Mass for assistance
if needed. There can be from 3-6 persons, or more, in the procession
of gifts. Instructions will be given before the procession of gifts.

| |
| Altar Server |
| Position for youth starting in 4th grade. Youth are scheduled for
one Mass of the family’s choosing but can serve at other Masses
if needed. Schedules are published for 3 months at a time. If you are interested
in volunteering as an altar server and are in fourth grade or higher,
please attend the training session. Pre-registration not required.
Parents are welcome to stay or drop off their child/ren for the training. |

| Greeter |
| The ministry of Hospitality has several faces, one of which is the
first a parishioner or visitor sees upon arrival at St. Mary’s
for Mass: the greeter at the door. First impressions are important,
and a warm welcome can do much to help people begin their worship
time. Requirement is a welcoming presence and ability to stand for
the duration of arrival time (about 15-20 minutes before Mass) and
after the dismissal to pass out the bulletins. This is a wonderful
ministry for families with children! |
| |
| Usher |
| The ministry of Hospitality has several faces, one of which is to
help people find a place in the assembly, and to pass the baskets
at the time of the collection of gifts. Requirement is to be friendly
and helpful, watching for any special needs. Training is provided.
Schedule is flexible. |
| |
| Coordinator at Mass |
| This person helps to get Mass ready by assuring that all the ministry
positions are filled, and, along with the Roadie, (a senior high youth
who does the set up for music, etc.) that the Mass elements are prepared.
It’s a great work; wonderful people to work with and the retirement
plan is out of this world! Call the parish office or speak with a
coordinator at Mass for further information. |
| |
| Lector |
| This ministry is for lovers of the Word who have, or are willing
to develop, the skills of proclaiming that Word to the Assembly. Training
is provided. |
| |
| Music Ministry |
| Sing? Play an instrument? Call the parish office to see where you
might serve. |
| |
| Hospitality after Mass |
| The 7:30 AM Mass always has great hospitality following Mass. Call for information. Fair Trade coffee is provided. |
| |
| Schedule Sign-Up |
| The schedule is made on a 3 month basis. Please indicate dates you
are not available to serve. If your availability changes once the
schedule is printed, please get a sub. |
