Parish Nurse/Health Ministry:
Parish Nurse is available for health counseling and education, assistance with accessing health resources, blood pressure screening, dispensing medical equipment, and coordination of health outreach programs. Health committee provides educational programs.
 
Health Committee:
Committee directs and supports the educational and support programs that foster holistic health.

Special Families Outreach:
A program of prayer, support, and information to families of children with special needs.
 
BeFrienders Ministry:
Trained parishioners who respond to the needs of others by visiting with them and providing emotional and spiritual support during times of life transitions. BeFrienders bring Eucharist to patients at St. John's Hospital every Saturday.

Eucharistic Ministry of Care:
Parishioners bring Communion to those at home who are sick and/or unable to join the parish community at weekend Masses. A team of parishioners also provides Word/Communion services regularly at 7 assisted living and apartment communities. Eucharistic Ministers of Care also assist BeFrienders in bringing Communion to patients at St. John's Hospital every Saturday.

Ministry of Consolation:
Trained Ministers of Consolation provide personal follow-up for 12-18 months with families after a death. In Remembrance, a prayer service, is held 3 times per year and a Mass is celebrated at the St. Mary's cemetery on Memorial Day. Grief education and support are provided through Companions in Grief, a 6 week grief & support series offered 4 or 5 times during the year. Grief and the Holidays is a 2 hour workshop presented in November.

Funeral Ministry:
Liturgy: Parishioners provide hospitality to the guests of the family, prepare for Mass, and serve as liturgical ministers as needed.

Luncheon: Parishioners provide hospitality to the guests of the family, setup the space, serve the food and cleanup after the luncheon.

One-on-One Consultation:
Parish staff members are available to those persons who are going through difficult life transitions. Individual and marriage counseling is available through referral to other community agencies.
