Bishop, Patsy - pbishop@stmarys-wbl.org (8th Grade Homeroom, Social Studies, Religion and Art)

Patsy Bishop, a middle school teacher, has been teaching at St. Mary of the Lake since 2005.  After teaching 5th grade for two years she moved into the middle school.  She is fascinated by the challenges and rewards presented by middle school thinkers and especially enjoys sharing the Catholic faith with this age group.

She received a BA in child psychology and a BS in elementary education from the University of Minnesota and a K-12 reading specialist license from Hamline University.    She started her teaching career in the fall of 1990 and, with the exception of third grade, she has taught every grade from first through 8th.

During the summer she enjoys bike riding with her husband, landscaping and yard maintenance, and sailing.  No matter what time of year it is, she always has a book nearby to indulge her love for reading.  She also enjoys time spent with her two teenage children and the family golden retriever.

Krenz, Allison - aakrenz@stmarys-wbl.org (7th Grade Homeroom, English and MS Spanish)

This is Ms. Krenz's first year at St. Mary of the Lake. She is very excited to start her teaching career in such a faith-filled, supportive environment! She is a recent graduate of UMD, where she earned a BAA in Teaching Communication Arts and Literature, a BA in English: Pre-Graduate Studies, and a Foreign Studies minor. She has a serious case of wanderlust which was only increased by her year abroad in Birmingham, England and her student teaching experience in Punta Gorda, Belize. When she is not busy planning lessons and avidly sketching out her own writing, Allison enjoys reading in the spare time that she has. A recommendation for a good book is always appreciated!  She also loves to spend time with her family, running, and yoga.
