Committees

There are eight committees that report directly to the Parish Leadership Council. They are consultative bodies, offering recommendations to the pastor and the Parish Leadership Council. Meeting dates and times are published in the weekly church bulletin and the website calendar. There are many other advisory groups as well. Development & Finance:
The Committee is responsible for the sound management of the financial resources of the parish.

Stewardship:
The Stewardship Committee is comprised of at-large Parish Leadership Council members, the parish administrator, and the pastor. The purpose of the committee is to build a culture of stewardship through prayer, participation and giving. In line with the stewardship theme, "Giving Thanks for God's Gift's," the committee creates and carries out consistent messages about stewardship to the community, and educates parish leadership groups and the parish at large about stewardship.

Communication Committee:
The purpose of the Communications Committee is to oversee the consistent communication of the parish's mission and key messages to its parishioners and the community at large.

Cemetery Committee:
The purpose of the Cemetery Committee is to improve our cemetery, provide for the present and future needs of our parishioners and other customers, more fully integrate the cemetery into the faith life of our parish, and maintain fiscal responsibility.

Faith Formation:
The Faith Formation Committee meets once a month as visionary leaders and policy makers. Our mission is to provide meaningful and enjoyable programs that support the faith formation of children, youth and adults. This mission, inspired by the parish mission, is dependent on our commitment to volunteer development. We support parents as primary catechists of their children, while creating a sense of belonging, drawing awareness to supporting the life long journey in faith, and fostering an environment of Christian values.

Sacraments & Worship:
Our mission is to strengthen the total prayer life of St. Mary’s Community by providing a welcoming and nurturing environment. We serve as a support team for our pastor, other church committees and our total parish community as together we grow in The Body of Christ.

Outreach Ministries:
The mission of the Outreach Ministries Committee is to fufill the biblical imperatives of prayer, care, charity, justice and community.

Catholic School Advisory Committee:
The Catholic School Committee is a consultative body that reports to and advises the School Administrator and Parish Leadership Council on issues of policy, budget, practice and program. The committee is comprised of members from the school families and the parish. Each meeting has time allotted for “open forum” where parishioners or school families may express their requests, views or concerns.
