New Parishioner Welcome Information
By doing these early in your pregnancy it is easy to reserve a baptism date that fits your family's schedule.
Schedule a Baptism:
Sign up for Baptism dates will be done at the Baptism Preparation class or by calling the Parish Life Center after attending a class. We recommend attending the preparation class early in your pregnancy, which facilitates signing up for a baptism date when the baby arrives. There is a $30 per child administration fee.
Baptism Preparation Session:
The baptism preparation session is one hour long. Babies are welcome! The session covers the natural symbols of life that the Church uses in baptism: water, oil (Sacred Chrism), sponsor, white garment, candle. The goal is to increase understanding of those symbols and why they are used, so the richness of Christ's action in the family is explored and appreciated in a new way and to a new depth of meaning.
