| St. Mary's offers a variety of Faith Formation opportunities that encourage and support children and families along our lifelong journey of faith. In order to participate in our Sacrament program, youth must be enrolled in one of the following three options: |
| Option 1: Private Christian Day School. Full time student at a private Christian school. Here at St. Mary's, students receive their catechetical instruction along with their regular classes on a daily basis. Option 2: Wednesday Family Faith Night. Youth in grades 1-5 have the option to come for 1 hour at 4:00 or 6:30 PM. Occasionally, we will have all-parish gatherings that require our 4:00 PM participants to come with their parents at 6:30 PM. Option 3: Home Program. Parents are provided with materials in order to teach their children at home. |
No matter which option you choose, all youth may participate in any of the following offerings: |
| Altar Server Training & Refresher Course |
| If you are interested in volunteering as an altar server and are in fourth grade or older, please attend a training session on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Current altar servers, please join us for a refresher course, same day/time. |
| Liturgy of the Word with Children (LWC) |
LWC is a chance for youth in grades 1-5 to hear the Liturgy of the Word in an age appropriate way. Children come to Mass with their parents and then after the Gloria are dismissed to the Notre Dame Chapel for Scripture and song just as in the large assembly. They share reflection thoughts on the Gospel and return to the main worship space in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. LWC takes place during the 9 & 11 AM Masses most Sundays from September through Pentecost. |
| Children's Choir |
| Children's Choir for youth in grades K-5 begins Thursday, September
13, 2007 from 6-7 PM in the Music Room at the Parish Life Center.
Rehearsals are twice per month, usually on Sundays, 12:15-1:15 PM
but also meet on some Thursdays. We lead music at Mass every other

| Vacation Bible School (VBS) |
| On August 11-15, 2008 we will offer five exciting days of Vacation
Bible School for children in grades K-5. Registration takes place
in the spring. We depend on adults, high school, and middle school
youth to volunteer as leaders and helpers. This is a great opportunity
to get a jump on those service hours! |
