Dear St. Mary’s Families and Small Groups,

My Pastor’s Portions for this weekend is one that I exhort every St. Mary’s Family and Small Group to prayerfully read, discuss, and share. With the division and polarization that are so present in our families, churches, nation, and world today, it is imperative that we heed what Jesus commands of each of His disciples, however difficult it may be to live the full Gospel, as G.K. Chesterton relates. For this reason, I’m asking that every St. Mary’s Family and Small Group pause wherever you are at – just for this week – in your catechesis or book study to prayerfully read and sincerely dialogue about the remedy Arthur Brooks offers to heal our nation. Let us not be afraid to open wide the doors of our hearts to Christ.
